FOYB Special Rules

T-ball Special Rules: Game time is no new inning after 50 mins. 6 runs a half inning or 3 outs. Time will be called on an infield when the baserunner touches the bag.  All runners get one base on an infield hits. Ball hit to the grass will be allowed 2 bases if the runner desires. Infield will consist of catcher, pitcher, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and SS.  All other players must remain in the grass.  Pitcher must remain on the mound until the ball is hit.  There will be a foul line drawn between first and third.  The ball must touch the chalk to be fair.  Coaches will be allowed all over the field for defense and offense.  Batter will swing until he or she puts the ball into play.  There is no spread rule in t-ball. Helmets must be worn on field when you are batting team. Scorekeeping is not required during T-Ball.

Machine Pitch Special Rules: 6 runs an inning. No new inning after 1 hours. Infield will consist of Pitcher, catcher, 1st, 2nd 3rd and shortstop. 4 outfielders are allowed but must be in the grass at the time of the pitch. Time will be called when the Defense raises the ball in the air while on the dirt or the runners has stopped trying to advance. 6 pitches max however if the batter swings at strike three he or she is out.  (Example: if the batter watches the first three pitches the umpire will call them balls.  However, every pitch then on will be a strike. A full count is 3 balls and 2 strikes so the 6th pitch will be the money pitch) If the batter fouls off the 6th pitch, then he or she will continue to bat.  There will be a line drawn between 1st and 3rd across the infield.  The ball must touch the chalk or beyond to be a fair ball.  If a batted ball hits the machine the ball is dead, and the batter gets first, and all runners get to advance one base.  There are no leadoffs.  If a runner leaves early, it is a dead ball no pitch and the runner is warned.  If the same runner leaves the base early again that inning the ball is dead, and the runner is out.  There is no infield fly or dropped third strike.  We encourage coaches to be in the outfield for defense to help coach, but coaches are not allowed to touch the ball or players. The spread rule is 12 runs after 3 innings or 8 after 4.  No stealing is allowed. A defense coach is allowed to be behind the catcher during the game. They are not allowed to coach, they are not allowed to stop the ball during an active play, but they can help the catcher find the ball if it passes the catcher. If coaching or they interfere with a play they will get one warning, if they do it again no coach will be allowed to help that teams catchers for the rest of the game.

Bantams Special Rules:  6 runs per inning. No new inning after 1 hour and 40 minutes. Baserunners are not allowed to leave the base until the ball crosses the plate. If a runner does leave early, it is dead ball no pitch and a warning on the runner.  If the same runner leaves early again the ball is dead and the runner is out.  This is if it is done in the same inning. There is no dropped third strike.  The batter is automatically out. There is no infield fly rule. If a pitcher balks the umpires will call the ball dead and instruct. There is no penalty for balks. The spread rule is 12 runs after 3 inning or 8 after 4.

Balk Rules: Midget/Juniors get one instructional and then all runners get a base.
